Trend map for our topic



In the olden days, training starts from a small family. A family with a certain skills will be inherited by young generation from the family. Usually, the family members do not want to share the skill with other people. For example, family members who have the skill to make gasing will train their children to learn up the skill to prevent the skills from getting extinct.

After that, mentoring training starts to become useful among the shops. Mentoring is a kind of training that involves a mentor and a trainee. The trainee will follow the mentor to learn and absorb experiences from the mentor. It is a good method because trainee can learn up the skills and experience from the mentor faster and he also can adapt to the job much faster. For instance, a teenager is looking for a job in a car repairing shop. The teenager has to follow his mentor which is a mechanical man to learn up skills from his mentor.

On the path to work in a company, the most common way of trainings using is education from schools and courses from universities and colleges. In schools, teachers teach students basic knowledge and also languages which is their foundation which will be useful in their future. In technical schools, students learn technical skills such as repairing cars, sewing, repairing machines and so on. In universities, students will study courses related to their future career. Students are now focusing more into the knowledge that they will be using in the future career field. For example, a person who wishes to work in an accounting firm has to get a degree related to accounting subject to be able to work in the firm. In companies, the employer will give short courses as training to employees to improve themselves.

Local firms are providing trainings such as information sharing between company, seminar, and internship. Local firms with business relationship are exchanging information to build up strategic alliance. They are sharing information to figure out weakness they have to give training to the employees to strengthen their weaknesses. Other than that, local firms also giving out seminars to their internal customers which is their employees. The seminar will be a one or two days seminars to upgrade their employees’ performance to ensure that the firm is working smoothly. Next, internship is given out to students from universities. This is a method to let the students which are going to graduate expose to the career field that they are going to work after graduation.

In the modern era, International Corporations such as DELL, SONY, INTEL are having e-learning and field training to their employees. E-learning means learning through the internet. It means the employees can learn at any places with internet service. It is a training involving technology. Then, International Corporation also sends employees to their main company in overseas to have field training. The reason the company send their employees to the main company is to let the employees learn their working culture so that, they will bring back the culture to the local company.
